Wynn Bullock: Color Light Abstractions
August 23 - November 28, 2010

Mid-twentieth-century photographer Wynn Bullock is best known for his evocative black-and-white images. Early in the 1960s, Bullock began experimenting with abstraction by creating color photographs of light. Hampered by the limitations of color printing at that time, he was unable to make stable, exhibition-quality prints of these dynamic images. In the Center's Permanent Collection Gallery, the works will be presented in new archival prints produced from Bullock’s original 35mm Kodachrome slides.
